Village Of Oak Park Health Department

The Village of Oak Park Health Department, a state-certified local health department, is responsible for promoting the health and well-being of Oak Park residents and protecting the community from preventable death, disease, illness and injury. The department identifies community problems and potential epidemics, develops health policies, enforces local ordinances and links residents to or provides a wide range of direct services.

Our Involvement With Healthy Hotspot

The Village of Oak Park Health Department manages a smoke-free housing program which provides multi-family property owners and managers the tools and resources needed for them to transition their properties to a 100% smoke-free environment. The smoke-free housing program’s goal is to provide residents living or moving into Oak Park healthier living options by eliminating their exposure to second- and third-hand tobacco smoke.
