In support of the Go the Distance, Cook County walking campaign, the Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Unit in collaboration with the Forest Preserves of Cook County (FPCC) has organized our final walking meet-up of the 2017 season. All CCDPH staff, family and friends are invited to enjoy a 45-minute nature walk on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 1:30pm, Camp Bullfrog Lake; 9600 Wolf Road, Willow Springs. To register, click on the blue Registration tab above. Registering ensures that you get event details, as well as receive a call and/or email should it be cancelled due to bad weather. The registration deadline is Thursday, September 21st.

In addition to the nature walk, join in the “Party for the Preserves” celebration and activities. Forest Preserve staff will be providing activities, which will include nature play, hiking, an outdoor movie, music, dancing, and more! Learn more at www.fpdcc.com/party .

Go the Distance, Cook County is a walking campaign encouraging residents of suburban Cook County to walk more in places where they live, work, learn, worship and play.
