Per the Illinois Department of Public Health, as of May 28, there have been a total 115,833 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5,186 deaths in IL, including: 75,306 cases and 3,519 deaths in Cook County. This includes 31,136 cases and 1,470 deaths in suburban Cook County, and 44,170 cases and 2,049 deaths in Chicago. All numbers provided are provisional and subject to change.
