Program Description: The primary purpose of the LBPHCG program is to reduce the exposure of young children to lead-based paint hazards in their homes. To accomplish this, the County of Cook will provide financial assistance to address lead-based paint hazards in residential dwellings in the county of Cook, Illinois. The County is interested in promoting lead hazard control approaches that result in the reduction of this health threat for the maximum number of low-income families with children, for the longest period of time and that demonstrate techniques which are cost-effective, efficient and can be used elsewhere.
Specific program information regarding funds, eligible applicants and activities can be found within the LBPHCGP guidelines.
A new funding cycle will be come available in Spring 2005.
