Residential Swimming Pools and Spas

In conjunction with the Cook County Department of Building and Zoning plans and specifications for residential swimming pools, both inground and aboveground, and spas are reviewed. Approvals by the Cook County Department of Public Health are limited to the filtration and disinfectant systems. It is our aim to ensure that the equipment installed is capable of providing water quality that is safe and healthful. All other aspects of the construction or installation of these recreational bathing facilities, in the unincorporated areas of the County, are overseen by the Cook County Department of Building and Zoning.
