Vaccine Preventable Diseases

Cook County Department of Public Health provides immunizations for the diseases listed below.

Chickenpox (Varicella virus)

Diphtheria

Haemophilus influenzar type b (Hib)

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis B

Influenza (Flu)

Measles

Mumps

Polio (Poliomyelitis)

Rubella virus

Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcus)

Tetanus

Whooping Cough/"pertussis"

Information concerning other vaccine-preventable diseases including: Anthrax, Lyme disease, Meningococcal disease, Rabies, Rotavirus, Smallpox, and Yellow Fever can be found on the Centers for Disease Control website.
