What are they are working on?
Fourth Episcopal District AME Church has three components to their Model Communities funded work:
- Joint Use Agreements- AME selected churches will work with schools within the community to share indoor and outdoor space so that members and families have access to increase physical activity.
- Community gardens – AME will build and make raised garden beds available to members of the community.
- Nutritional standards – AME will develop a policy that supports food served at churches for employees and families events adhere to new nutrition standards.
