Preventing Youth Violence Panel Event

Date: Apr 08, 2011
Time: 9:30am -11:30am

American Public Health Association and American Academy of Pediatrics Host
Preventing Youth Violence Panel Event
On average, 16 young people nationwide are murdered every single day. In honor of National Public Health Week 2011 “Safety is NO Accident: Live Injury-Free,” join us for a dynamic panel discussion, concluding with a youth group artistic performance, on how we can end violence and bullying among teens and young adults.

The time to engage all members of the community is now, not later. Local safety and violence prevention advocates, educators, students, policy makers, law enforcement officials and community leaders all play a vital role in encouraging teens to speak up about violence among their peers and find real solutions, not only in Chicago but across the nation.
