Nature Walk at the Oak Forest Heritage Preserve

Come out on September 22nd at 1pm for a walk with Dr. Terry Mason, accompanied by Illinois State Representative William (Will) Davis, 30th District, for a 30-minute walk in support of the health benefits of physical activity and connecting to nature. This voluntary event will take place at the newly opened and beautiful Oak Forest Heritage Preserve trail on the Oak Forest Health Center campus.

Led by the Cook County Department of Public Health, as part of its Healthy HotSpot Inititiative, Go the Distance, Cook County is a social media campaign encouraging residents of suburban Cook County to walk more in the places where they live, work, learn, worship and play. 

Registration is preferred by not required. To register for this walk, click on the blue registration tab above. Registering ensures that you get event details, as well as receive a call and/or email should it be cancelled due to bad weather. Click on the "Document and Handouts" tab to download the Go the Distance, Cook County flyer and the Photo Release form (please bring completed form with you).
